Tan Accelerator – A formula designed to hydrate, condition and enhance Melanin production in the skin during UV exposure for faster, darker tanning results. Used to create a base tan or darken an existing one.

Tan Intensifier – A formula designed to hydrate, condition and enhance Melanin production in the skin during UV exposure for faster, darker, more intense tanning results. Contains an increased level of tanning and skin care ingredients to create a base tan or darken an existing one.

Tan Maximizer – A formula designed to hydrate, condition and enhance Melanin production in the skin during UV exposure for maximum, ultra-dark tanning results. Contains a maximum level of tanning and skin care ingredients to create a base tan or darken an existing one.

Bronzer – A combination of DHA sunless tanner and tan accelerator, intensifier or maximizer ingredients to enhance Melanin production in the skin during UV exposure and further darken skin after UV exposure, resulting in a faster development of a darker, longer-lasting tan.
Note: Clean hands after use to avoid discoloration.

Multi-Bronzer – A bronzer combined with skin darkening extracts to further enhance the tanning process, help prevent streaking and prolong the life of a tan. See also Bronzer.

Sunless Tanner – Creates the appearance of a tan without UV exposure. The principal ingredient, DHA, reacts with proteins on the surface of the skin to create the look of a tan by staining the upper layers of the skin. Sunless color continues to develop for up to 12 hours and can last up to 8 days.
Note: Clean hands after use to avoid discoloration. It is recommended to exfoliate prior to application to avoid blotchiness and ensure smooth, even color.

Warming (Tingle) – Contains Capsicum Annuum Extract and Nicotinate to help stimulate circulation on the surface of the skin, creating a slight redness and warming/tingling sensation that enhances the intensity and appearance of a tan. The effect is temporary and can last up to several hours.
Caution: Not to be used on the face, by beginner tanners or those with sensitive skin. See also Capsicum Annuum Extract.

Hot (Tingle) – Contains Nicotinates that help stimulate rapid circulation on the surface of the skin, creating an extreme redness and warming/tingling sensation to enhance the intensity and appearance of a tan. The effect is temporary and can last up to several hours.

Ice Hot (Tingle) – A combination of Menthol Crystals and skin stimulators to create an instant icy feel on the skin followed by a slight redness and warming sensation. The effects are temporary and can last up to several hours.

Cool (Ice) – Utilizes Menthol Crystals to create a brisk, cooling sensation on the skin that can last up to an hour.

Refreshing (Crystal) – Formulated with a small amount of Menthol Crystals and other skin refreshers to create an instant, brief cooling sensation to the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Shimmer – A formula enhanced with a blend of Mica and Titanium Dioxide that provides a subtle luster and luminous glow to the skin.

Moisturizer – A formula that provides skin with hydration, nourishment and conditioning. Daily use helps keep skin smooth, soft and younger looking and can help extend the life of a tan.

SPF Product – Sun blocking agents that reduce the skin’s exposure to UVA and UVB rays. The higher the number of SPF, the greater the protection.

5-Part Continuous Color Complex™ – Custom, smooth, streak-free, self-tanning complex that contains Kukui Nut Extract, Walnut Shell Extract, DHA and Erythrulose in a liposome base that darkens skin up to 12 hours and can last up to 8 days.

ABS Desert Blend – Contains extracts of Evening Primrose Root, Abronia Villosa Leaf, Agave Americana, Yucca Brevifolia Root, Opuntia Coccinellifera Flower, Fouquieria Splendens Stem and Larrea Tridentate. Designed to help the skin absorb and maintain nutritive moisture levels.

ACB Celluplex – A bio-fermented natural blend of Red Clover, Cocoa and Green Tea that plays a specific role in the ability to help decrease the appearance of cellulite. See also Red Clover, Cocoa and Green Tea.

Acetyl Tyrosine - An amino acid that helps promote Melanin production in the skin, aiding in a more rapid tanning process. A derivative of L-Tyrosine, an organic amino acid that is a building block of protein.

Adenosine Triphosphate - A coenzyme found in the body that speeds up the rate of Melanin production.

Algae Extracts - Rich in essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Helps regulate cellular metabolism and activates protein synthesis. Ideal for firming and revitalizing skin.

AlgoMax™ - A proprietary blend of dark tan maximizers and Melanin synthesis intensifiers designed to enrich color and greatly accelerate the tanning process.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid - Alpha-Lipoic acid is often called the universal antioxidant. It is potent versatile and can help protect against future skin damage.

Aloe Vera - An extract from the leaves of the Aloe Barbadensis plant known to have healing and soothing properties. It also helps condition, rejuvenate and restore moisture balance to the skin.

Amino Acids - The building blocks of protein.

Arnica Montana Extract - Commonly called Leopards Bane, this extract, derived from the Arnica flower, has been used in skin care for hundreds of years. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities that can reduce pain and swelling and soothe stressed skin.

Bamboo Natamilk - A fluid skin care emulsion developed from the leaves and stalk of the Asian Bamboo plant known to help skin appear smoother, firmer and younger looking.

Bergamot Extract - An extract that is revitalizing and soothing to the skin.

Beta Carotene - Pro-vitamin A serving as an antioxidant and supporting pigment coloration in the skin.

Beta Color Complex™ - A proprietary formulation of Beta Carotene and Unipertan V-242 that preconditions skin and increases Melanin production in the skin during UV exposure.

Black Seed Oil - Derived from the seed of the Cumin plant, a skin nutrient that contains 15 amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, EFAs, Calcium, Iron, Sodium and Potassium. Conditions, soothes and protects skin, helping restore moisture and elasticity.

Black Walnut Shell Extract - Extract of the shells, or bark, of the Black Walnut tree. Its thick, black coloring deepens self-tan color, helps alleviate streaking and is especially effective when used in conjunction with DHA.

Caffeine - Helps reduce puffiness and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Also known to energize skin.

Capsicum Annuum Extract (Cayenne) - Extract from the ripe fruit of the African Chili plant that helps stimulate circulation on the surface of the skin. Used as a skin stimulator in warming products.
Note: May cause skin irritation and allergic reaction.

Caviar Extract - Very rich in Vitamins A, D, B1, B2, B6 and micro-elements Co, Cu, P, Si, Zn, as well as amino acids like glycine, lysine, histidine, arginine, asparagine. These ingredients intensify the processes inside the skin cells and, at the same time, slow down the aging process by moisturizing. Caviar Extracts (or Roe Extract) are also a source of vitamins, nucleic acids, phospholipids and proteins.

Ceramide and Peptide Blend - Restorative blend increases moisture retention and significantly helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Chamomile - The extract is derived from the single flower of the aromatic perennial native to Europe and the Mediterranean that stimulates metabolic activity, conditions, soothes and aids in the healing of skin.

Cocoa Extract - The Cocoa plant is rich in phytoestrogenic compounds that help decrease the formation of cellulite in the skin. Cocoa can also be used to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Cocoa Butter - For centuries, the women of Africa have used Cocoa Butter to moisturize and cool their skin. This rich, creamy oil is derived from Cacao Seeds to help provide rich moisture and surface conditioning to help soften and nurture the skin.

Coconut Oil and Extract - Extracted from the flesh of the Coconut to hydrate, condition and protect the skin, it also helps prolong the life of a tan.

Comfrey Extract - Comfrey has been cultivated since about 400BC as a healing herb. The extract is derived from the leaves and flowers of the plant. It is known to moisturize and soothe skin, and contains allantoin that promotes skin rejuvenation.

Coffee Bean Extract - Essential oils from the Arabica plant that improve antioxidant qualities, provide deep skin conditioning and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Copper - An important trace element for human nutrition. It is a component of the powerful antioxidant enzyme, Superoxide Dismutase.

Cucumber Extract - This extract comes from the skin and pulp of Cucumber. Native to India, its high water content helps moisturize, purify and refresh skin. Fresh Cucumber Pulp is also renowned for its soothing properties.

D

D8 Dark Bronzing System™ - A proprietary blend formulated with a 3-part dark tanning blend that aggressively increases Melanin production and a 5-part Continuous Color Complex that combines self-tanning bronzers that continue to darken the skin up to 12 hours and can last up to 8 days.

DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) - The tanning agent commonly found in sunless tanning formulas. A Keto Sugar derived from Sugar Cane, it reacts with proteins on the surface of the skin to create the look of a tan by staining the upper levels of the skin. Color can last up to 8 days. DHA can be combined with Black Walnut Shell Extract for a deeper color and with Erythrulose to extend the life of a sunless tan. Also see Black Walnut Shell Extract and Erythrulose.

DPHP (Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline) - Helps stimulate the production of collagen fibers, which results in healthier looking skin. Combined with MDI Complex, it helps counteract the free radicals that destroy collagen. See also MDI Complex.

D Factor - An amino acid that helps increase microcirculation to promote conditioning and regeneration of the skin. It also assists in the delivery and performance of other skin care ingredients in a formula.

Date Fruit Prime - A natural lactic acid created from Date Fruit Extract and yeast enzymes to provide Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium for a powerful blend of antioxidants.

E

Ergothioneine (Thiotaine) - An amino acid that is a powerful antioxidant and catalyst for oxygen use. It helps the skin absorb maximum amounts of oxygen to enhance the tanning process.

Erythulose - A tanning agent commonly found in sunless tanning formulas, it is a sugar derived from algae that reacts with proteins on the surface of the skin to create the look of a tan by staining the upper levels of the skin. It helps provide an even and uniform sunless tan, and is often used with DHA to prolong the life of a sunless tan. See also DHA.

Gingko Extract - An antioxidant that is soothing to the skin.

Ginseng Extract - A Chinese perennial herb derived from the root of the Ginseng plant for its many nutrients and vitamins that aid in skin conditioning. It also has mild anesthetic properties to help soothe stressed skin.

Green Tea Extract - Is well known for its antioxidant properties and its Caffeine content. Combined with Cocoa and Red Clover, it helps increase microcirculation and fat metabolism while also helping decrease production of cellulite.

Hemp Seed Oil and Extract - Derived from the seed of the Cannabis Sativa plant (THC-drug free industrial hemp). It is a rich source of Essential Fatty Acids, Amino Acids and nutrients that hydrate, nourish and condition skin.

Hempz 5 Hydration System™ - Proprietary complex contains Vitamin E, key Amino Acids and Hemp Proteins to provide vital nutrition, hydration and conditioning to skin.

Hibiscus Extract - An extract known for its antioxidant properties.

Horse Chestnut Extract - Derived from the seed of the Horse Chestnut tree, it contains high levels of Escin and Lecithin that work as anti-cellulite and anti-inflammatory. It also helps calm and firm the skin.

Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein - A water-soluble vegetable protein that strengthens and conditions skin.

Iris Natamilk - A fluid skin care emulsion developed from the French Royal Lily flower to moisturize, condition and renew skin.

Jasmine Extract - Extracted from the flowers of the fragrant Jasminum Officinale plant native to Asia, it has an uplifting fragrance and soothing and moisturizing properties.

Kukui Nut Oil - A tropical oil found in the Pacific Islands that works as an outstanding emollient and is quickly absorbed into the skin to condition and hydrate. Hawaiians have used it for thousands of years to treat dry skin, psoriasis, acne and other common skin problems.

Larch Tree Extract - A versatile extract from the bark of the Larch tree, it provides instant skin radiance, tightens the skin, improves elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Lime Blossom Extract - An extract used for its soothing and anti-irritant properties.

Lotus Milk - A fluid skin emulsion derived from the Asian Lotus flower to hydrate, soothe and smooth skin.

SPF (Sun Protection Factor) - The use of sun blocking agents to reduce skin's exposure to UVA and UVB rays. The higher the number of an SPF, the greater the protection.

Superoxide Dismutase - Active enzymes and proteins that work to neutralize free radicals, converting Hydrogen Peroxide present on the skin to water. Also see Oxygen Conversion Technology™.

Sweet Almond Oil - Obtained from dried kernels of the Almond tree, it is an excellent emollient and helps balance moisture and soften skin. It is a light, non-greasy, penetrating oil that is excellent for all skin types.

Tamanu Oil - Oil from the Melanesian and Polynesian Islands derived from the nut of the Tamanu tree. This potent oil contains neutral lipids, glycolipids and phospholipids, and is known to help reduce inflammation, condition and soothe stressed skin.

Tea Tree Oil - An essential oil from the leaves of the Australian Tea tree, it contains a mild anesthetic to soothe painful burns and is well known for its healing properties. It penetrates the skin quickly to accelerate the healing of skin disorders.

Trace Mineral Complex™ - A proprietary formulation containing Magnesium, Copper, Iron and Zinc that aids in the production of Melanin, helps bind moisture to skin and provides antioxidant properties.

Tropical Monoi Oil - From the Tahitian coconut and Tiare flower, it nourishes, conditions and soothes skin and has antidehydration properties to prolong the life of a tan. It is the closest oil in nature to those found in the skin. Tahitian and Polynesian women have used it for centuries to condition and nurture their skin.

Unipertan P-2002 - A patented blend of Acetyl Tyrosine, Adenosine Triphosphate, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein and Riboflavin that stimulates Melanin production in the skin and accelerates the tanning process.
